Als grenswerker van onderwijs en dans bijdragen aan de fundamentele plek van danseducatie op pabo’s en basisscholen
Janneke van der Vlugt (1986) reikte in haar elf jaren voor de klas veelvuldig naar de dans. Op ArtEZ greep zij vervolgens naar de verbinding met het onderwijs. Hier wil zij van betekenis zijn: als verbinder van onderwijs en dans.
Janneke gelooft dat het van wezenlijk belang is dat ieder kind binnen het onderwijs met veelzijdig kwalitatief cultuuraanbod in aanraking komt. Binnen CmK ontwikkelde zij samen met twee collega’s educatief materiaal vanuit ‘dansant burgerschap’, de toepassing van danseducatie in burgerschapsonderwijs. Dit proces, en haar overtuiging dat pabo’s een cruciale rol spelen binnen haar missie, maakte dat zij onderzoek verrichtte naar de plek van dans binnen het HAN Pabo curriculum en kansen voor integratie van dansant burgerschap.
Janneke gaat vanuit én voor de dans op zoek naar nog onbekende bewegingsruimten binnen het onderwijs. Twee werelden naar elkaar toe bewegend, om ze uiteindelijk grenzeloos te laten worden.

As a frontier worker on the boundary between education and dance, to contribute to the fundamental place of dance education in pabo teacher training and primary schools
In her eleven years as a teacher, Janneke (1986) frequently reached for dance. At ArtEZ, she has now sought to make the connection with education. This is where she wants to make a contribution: as a connective force between education and dance.
Janneke believes that it is essential for every child to come into contact with versatile and high-quality culture offerings in education. Within CmK (Quality in Cultural Education), she and two colleagues developed educational material based on ’citizenship through dance’, the application of dance education to civic education. This process, combined with her belief that pabo schools for teacher training play a crucial role in her mission, prompted her to research the place of dance in the HAN Pabo curriculum and opportunities for integration of citizenship through dance.
For Janneke, dance is both her basis and her motivation to look for undiscovered room for movement within education. Moving both worlds in the direction of the other, and eventually making them boundless.
