Romy Houwers is enthousiast, open en verantwoordelijk. De veiligheid in de groep vindt zij het allerbelangrijkste. Romy geeft met alle plezier les in de stijlen jazz, modern en de trainingsmethode Physical Dynamics. Deze stijlen combineren vindt zij een aantrekkelijke uitdaging en doet zij graag. Ook staat zij open voor andere stijlen en diverse doelgroepen. Romy creëert in een les graag speelse elementen waarbij leerlingen elkaar kunnen helpen. Ze vindt het belangrijk dat er ruimte is voor persoonlijke aandacht.
Voor haar onderzoek en profilering is zij naar Curaçao gegaan om te ontdekken wat een cultuur, taal en andere levenswijze kan doen met dans en met haar als persoon. Romy onderzocht hoe je verschillende kunstdisciplines interdisciplinair kunt coachen. Ook vindt zij het interessant om dans en theater samen te laten werken of met elkaar te laten versmelten en heeft dit kunnen toepassen; Romy heeft samen met een andere stagiaire op Curaçao een educatieve, interactieve, theater- en danskindervoorstelling gemaakt. Dit zijn maakprocessen en voorstellingen waar Romy ontzettend van kan genieten.
In Romy’s ideale wereld geeft zij les in de bovengenoemde stijlen les maar dan versmolten met elkaar, maakt zij educatieve en interactieve kindervoorstellingen en heeft zij een vertrouwensband met leerlingen en collega’s. Romy staat voor veel open en houdt van uitdagingen!

Romy Houwers is enthusiastic, open and responsible. Safety in the group is the most important thing to her. Romy loves to teach jazz, modern and the Physical Dynamics training method. She loves to combine these styles and finds it a exciting challenge to do so. She is also open to teach other styles in various groups. Romy likes to create playful elements in her classes where students can help each other. She thinks it is important that there is room for personal attention.
For her research and profiling she went to Curaçao to discover what a culture, language and a way of life can do with dance and with her as a person. Romy researched how you can coach different art disciplines interdisciplinary. She also finds it interesting to let dance and theatre work together or to merge them and she put this into practice; Romy, together with another intern on Curaçao, made an educational, interactive, theatre and dance performance for children. These are creation processes and performances that Romy can enjoy immensely.
In Romy’s ideal world, she will be teaching in the mentioned styles but then merged with each other, she makes educational and interactive children’s performances and has a trusting relationship with students. Romy is open to many things and loves a challenging project!
